HP TouchPadIt appears as though even spammers are realizing the value in the HP TouchPad and have begun using the recently popular tablet as bait in their spam campaigns.

As stated in the fine print, you’re not getting anything for free.

In fact, you will be forced to complete a number of “reward offers” that often require you to sign-up for a paid monthly service or apply for a credit card/loan. You are then forced to keep your account active for a minimum of 1 month of service to qualify for the prize – that’s if they actually keep their word to award it.

Seeing how the HP TouchPad has been a popular topic since it was discontinued a few months ago and promptly followed by a fire sale that sent the public into a feeding frenzy, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see more scams offering the coveted tablet as a prize.

If you were hoping to get your hands on a HP TouchPad, you’re better off heading over to Best Buy to take advantage of their special deal to get the 32GB HP TouchPad for just $149 – but even that feels like a scam once you’ve read the terms.

Sorry folks, it seems like the fire sale was the one & only chance to nab the HP TouchPad for under 150 bucks without having to watch out for any fine print.
